Thomas Kiaos was born in Athens, Greece in 1979. He studied Philosophy in the University of Crete and Cinematography in Berlin’s KASKELINE FILMACADEMIE. He has directed short films, documentaries, television shows and advertising spots. Also he has published three collections with poems titled “Seasonal Species” (2012) , “Letter” (2014) and “New world”(2019), from Gavrilidis Publications and a collection of sonets named “About Courage – 70 + 2 sonets” from Potamos Pulications (2024). Furthermore he has been nominated for the award in film making by the Hellenic Academy of Cinematography for the best short film (Musikhof) in the year 2012 and the state award in poetry in the category of best new writer by the Athens Academy for the book “Seasonal Species” in the year 2013. In 2024 He lives and works in Athens.
